Nouvital Azulen Cleansing Oil

I'm going to start the new year fresh with a couple of posts on my skin care routine, because after all, the basis of every beautiful makeup is good skin.
This routine is largely identical to what I like to use on clients, specially regarding cleansing.

This jewel of a product here is one of my staples and everyone loves it.
If I (or the client) wears a lot of eyemakep
and we need to take it off, I usually use a seperate eye makeup remover but if it's just a bit of mascara and light eyeshadow, 9 times out of 10 I don't bother and just go ahead with this.

I keep a 1 liter bottle of it in the house and refill a smaller pump bottle with it for easy access.

Nouvital Azulen Cleansing Oil is what is called a hydrophilic oil, which means it's water soluable and will turn into a milky substance when mixed with water.
I take 2 pumps of it into my hands, rub them together to distribute and then apply all over face and eyes, gently massaging and loosening up makeup and mascara.

After that, I run the tap medium to warm and wet a small white terry towel under it, wring it and apply to my face (or the clients face) and use it to remove the oil with the makeup.
Flip the terry cloth over and use the clean side to remove the last bits of makeup and dirt.
And there you go, a clean face, relaxed skin (and mind).

What I love about this product is that it doesn't leave my skin itchy and dry, desperate for moisturizer as so many cleansing products do.

I did rave about the Embryolisse Lotion Micellaire in my last post but this is a completely different kind of procedure of course, and the 2 methods can exist happily next to eachother as far as I'm concerned.

When I'm lazy and want to get a quick fix I use the Micellaire, and you can't beat it for quick refresher during the day either. Or for makeup removal on set when you need to switch looks and have neither time nor warm water on hand.

When I feel like pampering myself with a gentle massage and warm cloth, I go for the Nouvital oil.
It's a simple as that. I love having options :)
